About us
Famba zvakanaka — travel well
Famba Zvakanaka is a Zimbabwean road safety platform. Our name is a Shona farewell — "travel well" — and it is exactly what we want for every driver, passenger and pedestrian.
Why we exist
Safer roads through shared knowledge
Road hazards cause avoidable accidents and costly vehicle damage across Zimbabwe. Famba Zvakanaka gives road users a simple way to warn each other, and gives drivers a trusted way to find help when they break down.
Trust before listings
We verify technicians and review hazard reports before anything is published. No fake reviews, no unverified providers.
Community first
Every hazard report is one driver helping the next. The platform works because Zimbabweans look out for each other.
Built for local roads
From Harare's avenues to rural gravel roads, Famba Zvakanaka is designed for the conditions Zimbabwean drivers actually face.
Where we are headed
The app is live for browsing and the reporting form is ready. Next we are connecting the online service that powers live hazard maps, the verified provider directory and technician accounts — one platform, one account, across the website and the app.
