Terms of Service
The ground rules for using Famba Zvakanaka — written to be read, not to hide in.
Community standards and safe reporting
Report hazards truthfully, factually and respectfully. Describe road conditions and concerns involving councils or road authorities in dignified, constructive language.
Factual complaints and respectful criticism of councils, government departments and road authorities are allowed. We moderate abusive behaviour, not legitimate concerns.
Avoid insults, threats, harassment, hate speech, personal attacks and abusive language. Respect accident victims and the privacy and dignity of affected people.
Never upload graphic accident images, visible severe injuries, exposed bodies or other disturbing material for public viewing. Attachments stay private. Images receive a background content check when available; video, audio and documents require human safety review. No detection system can identify every case. Media review does not delay safe text warnings.
Never publish private personal information without a lawful basis and appropriate permission. Obtain permission from anyone identifiable in your media.
Report only when safely stopped. Never handle a phone while driving or approach a dangerous accident scene to capture media. Microphone and camera use is optional and starts only with your consent.
Safe factual warnings publish after a successful validated save without waiting for an administrator. They are community reported, not independently verified. Clearly unsafe text stays private; background content checks may hide abusive reports. Community observations are not official verification. Signed-in owners can request a correction or appeal from report history. Authorised reviewers can correct, dispute, verify, resolve or remove warnings with an audit trail.
1. The service
Famba Zvakanaka provides a platform for reporting road hazards and a directory of roadside assistance providers in Zimbabwe. Informational pages and public listings are available without an account.
2. Honest reporting
When you submit a hazard report you agree that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. False, misleading or malicious reports may be removed and may lead to restrictions on your access once accounts are introduced.
3. Not emergency services
Famba Zvakanaka is not an emergency service and does not replace the police, ambulance or fire services. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services directly. Hazard reports and assistance requests may not be seen immediately.
4. Roadside assistance directory
Provider listings are published only after verification and with the provider's approval. While we verify providers, any agreement, payment or service is strictly between you and the provider. We are not a party to those arrangements and cannot guarantee outcomes.
5. Technician terms
Technicians agree to provide accurate information during verification, to keep their listing details current, and to deliver services professionally. Verification documents are used only for verification and are never published. Listings may be suspended or removed if these terms are breached.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform: no scraping, no attempting to access other users' data, no interfering with the service, and no use of the platform for unlawful purposes.
7. Liability
Hazard information is community-sourced and may be incomplete or out of date. Always drive according to actual road conditions. To the extent permitted by law, Famba Zvakanaka is not liable for losses arising from reliance on community reports or from services provided by third-party providers.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the service grows. The current version is always on this page, and significant changes will be announced in the app.
